October 11th, 1999 was the date that this site was started from a couple of Dodge fans excited about the prospect of Dodge coming back into the fold of NASCAR. 7 years and about 2 days later, we have a new web design and are still the same people that love to bring you news and photos from our adventures at various auto shows around the world and other industry stuff. While we aren’t associated with Daimler Chrysler, we have a passion for their products and the excitement they bring to the world of cars and trucks.
One of these new trucks is based off of the Jeep Liberty platform and is known as the Dodge Nitro. Taking styling from the M-80 Concept of the 2002 North American Auto show, the Nitro looks a bit retro with it’s classic Dodge styling, but also offers the buyer something different if they don’t like the Jeep styling. Another vehicle that uses the same concept of different body on same mechanicals is the Dodge Caliber which is not unlike the Jeep Compass and the soon to show up Patriot. I just wish they had the option of going Diesel in some of these.
Speaking of Diesel power, why don’t we have more vehicles with Diesel engines? I know I’ve heard about different standards in different countries, and all of that but seriously they are more fuel efficient and with fuels such as biodiesel can burn cleaner and reduce our dependency on oil.
If you are a new reader to this website I welcome you to continue to read and comment on our articles and news. If you are a long time reader, I sincerely hope you like the change.

put the diesel in this and have small vehicle with decent fuel economy with the ability to tow 5000 lbs. would consider buying one if the current fuel mpg didnt stink so bad.
