Kurt Busch and the #2 Dodge dominated the race from the drop of the green flag. His 51 race winless streak has been snapped. The only thing that seemed to slow him down was cautions. He lep the most laps, and more importantly the last lap.

Juan Pablo Montoya put the #42 Dodge Avenger into victory lane in California. The road course victory is the first Nextel Cup series win for Juan. He was able to pass pole sitter Jamie McMurray with 7 laps to go, and squeeze out a fuel mileage win for his maiden victory. This was also the first win for the new Dodge Avenger.
He’s not on the board - but definitely on board.
